AIDS is a minor concern compared to malnutrition, poverty, diarrheal disease, unemployment, illiteracy, welfare and scarcity of resources in Africa.

Botswana and Zimbabwe have the highest number of HIV infected people in the world.

In Zimbabwe, the life expectancy has dropped from age sixty-eight to age forty.

Even though Africa is one continent, different languages, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds exist making it necessary for various preventative and treatment programs.
